My School's Cool

Are you looking for a way to help raise money for the school of your choice?
My School’s Cool second semester competition ends Monday, May 30. Throughout the 2010-11 school year, eight area schools have been competing in Town East Mall’s My School’s Cool program for a chance to share in $15,000 in cash prizes. To earn points towards the final tally, Town East Mall has announced that all receipts must be received at the Town East Mall office by Friday, May 20 at 5:00 pm. The winning schools will be announced and the cash prizes distributed at a luncheon at BJ’s Restaurant on Friday, May 27. Planning for 2011-12 Planning for 2011-12 My School’s Cool has begun and schools can inquire about participating in the program by contacting Debbie Screws at (214) 414-9031 or at deborah.screws@ggp.com. All the schools in the 2010-11 My School’s Cool program were elementary level, but public and private middle and high schools are eligible to enroll for 2011-12. There is a limit to the number of schools that can participate and applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis.

Habitat for Humanity

Town East Mall is pleased to announce our partnership with Habitat for Humanity to help raise awareness and resources for the worldwide charitable organization.

Town East Mall will engage employees and customers to help build homes, participate in fundraising events and other public awareness initiatives to reinforce Town East Mall's commitment to community and betterment of families in need.

Town East Mall supports Dallas Habitat for Humanity

Town East Mall has partnered with Dallas Habitat for Humanity to work on elimination of poverty housing in our community. This is a part of national partnership between General Growth Properties, (Town East Mall's owner/management company) and Habitat for Humanity International. Over the next three years, shoppers will be invited to participate in fundraising events, awareness campaigns and volunteer opportunities to benefit Dallas Habitat for Humanity. Mall Walkers

Doors open at 8:00am for walkers. Four times around the top level is two miles. We have lots of people who walk, then go up to the food court have a cup of coffee and visit.
